UP193HE
Deep-UV Excimer

Homogenized Excimer
Laser Ablation

New Wave Research introduces its 2nd generation excimer laser ablation system with full beam homogenization.

Craters in quartz having <10nm flatness have been demonstrated making the UP193HE (Homogenized Excimer) the preferred choice for diamonds, inclusions and other highly transparent materials.

Features

  <10nm flatness in quartz achieved.
The has the highest energy density available
       - to 35J/cm2
  2% stability
Broadest spot size range - 4 to 270µm
  Closed-loop control via ICP-MS, IRMS
Sample Map Navigation for up to 50mm virtual
FOV (field of view) of samples
  Motorized zoom magnification to 1200X
Real-time measurement of energy & energy density
Pulse rates from 1 to 50Hz - continuous pulsing,
      single shot and burst modes.

Features

  Gemstones, diamonds
Geochemical analysis of fluid inclusions, zircons,
      calcite, apatite, basalt
